Q. What licenses do I need ?

 

A. If guests are fishing anyone over the age of 18 are required to have a valid Ontario sport or conservation licence.  

If you plan on keeping your catch it is recommended you purchase the sportfishing license.

If you are hunting with us guest are required to have a valid Ontario hunting license with a valid small game and valid migratory game bird stamp for that year as well as valid firearms license.

 

Q. What is supplied on fishing charters?

 

A.  All rods, tackle ,and safety equipment are supplied. Guests are more than welcome to bring snacks and drinks. No alcohol and no Bananas. lol  google bananas on a boat.

 

Q. What is supplied on a guided hunt?

 

A. Decoys , blind, guide and  safety equipment , and a light lunch (if we are out that long ) are supplied . Guests are required to have their own gun and shells. 3 boxes of shells and waders are recommended.

 

Q. What kinds of ducks can we expect ?

 

A. Guests can encounter multiple species on a single hunt. 

Most common ducks taken are Mallard, Bluebill, Blacks, Redhead, Greenwinged teal , Canvasback ,Pintail, Bufflehead, Gadwall, Goldeneye, Widgeon.

 

Q. Are we guaranteed Fish? 

 

A. In short no. The only guarantee is we will do our very best to put you on fish. 

 

Q.  Are we guaranteed ducks?

 

A. Like the answer to the fishing question the answer is no. We can assure you everything will be done to provide you will the very best opportunity to harvest ducks.

 

Q. What kind of clothing should be worn?

 

A. Dress for the conditions. Rule of thumb to remember is its better to have it and not need it than not have it at all.

 

Q. Are deposits refundable?

 

A. Deposits for fishing are refundable if charter is cancelled due to weather (by Captain) or cancelation is made 3 weeks prior to date picked.

Deposits for Guided hunts are only refundable if the lake or rivers freeze and we can no longer hunt. Deposits cannot be carried over to book another date. Deposits are only applied for the date picked not multiple. Each date picked will require a deposit for that date.
